A cute 2D platform and puzzle game which was a student project.
Polarity is an original platformer and puzzle game which while it may seem like an old idea, actually introduces some new and interesting concepts in its genre.
The actual program was originally developed as a student project by a team at Carnegie Mellon. It has since been moved from the university to its own home online.
Polarity is a very fun and sometimes addictive game with a little touch of retro. It introducing the element of magnetism into a platformer game where colors represent polarity (red and blue).
Each level is a challenge and some are harder than others to complete.
If you like classic platformers and want to try something new, give Polarity a go!
Compatibility and License
Polarity has been released under the open source GPL license on Windows from puzzle games. The license provides the options to freely download, install, run and share this program without any restrictions. The source code for Polarity should be freely available and modifications are certainly permitted as well as the option to inspect the software.

What version of Windows can Polarity run on?
Polarity can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.
